Join us at the new Hamilton Loft in Lockport, Illinois for a Paint, Plant & Sip, which we are coining as "Mental Health Monday!" Practice a positive outlet for your own self care and boost your mental health with creative and plant therapy! Grab your pals and bask in the beauty of this space, while practicing self care and bringing awareness to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

This paint class will be dedicated to the life of Patty Stern. Patty was a woman who cared so selflessly for other humans. A woman who carried the weight of others, before she carried the weight of her own struggles. A woman who personally knew the struggle of physical and mental health and made sure that those who were affected in any way, were taken care of, thought about and felt loved, even from afar. Patty passed a week before our previously scheduled Hamilton Loft class, in which she was supposed to be an attendee. Our new date is completely to honor the life of Patty Stern. To honor those who are affected by mental health whether directly or indirectly. To honor her in a way that (in hopes) she would want, to spread a message, to tell a story and to reach individuals who struggle day in and day out, no matter your age, gender or what your struggles may be. Patty was a woman of character, love, selflessness, passion and so much more. A woman who is so greatly missed but a woman who will help aid in the fight against the stigma of mental health and suicide prevention.

This class is rescheduled from July 25, 2022.

We DO NOT instruct on what each individual is going to paint on their planters. There are increased mental health benefits when getting creative on your own! When getting creative, you're pulling from the left hemisphere of your brain. In turn, increasing your serotonin levels and decreasing any type of stress, depression, anxiety, along with numerous other mental health ailments, that we all may fall victim to. We will most definitely assist you! But, we will not instruct step by step.

Once you paint your pot (the paint dries pretty quick) we will seal your planter and then assist you on planting whichever plant you choose!
