Goldfish Plant "Nematanthus gregarius"
The Goldfish Plant is native to tropical regions of South and Central America, especially Brazil. The plant’s main attraction — bright orange to reddish-orange tubular flowers that resemble leaping goldfish, giving the plant its common name. Blooms appear in abundance under the right conditions, especially in spring and summer.
🌞 Care Requirements:
Light: Bright, indirect light. Tolerates some early morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays, which can scorch leaves.
Water: Allow the plant to dry out half way in between waterings.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Occasional misting or placing near a humidifier helps, especially in dry indoor air.
Temperature: Warm conditions. Avoid cold drafts and temps below 60°F .
Soil: Light, well-draining mix.
Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans.
